Event Overview

Strong, stable and trusted banking systems are integral to the economic and social stability of nations. In Australia, our banking sector has been through a period of considerable change sparked by factors as diverse as a Royal Commission, widespread technology disruption, changing consumer expectations, natural disasters and a global pandemic.

How have these collective challenges changed the way we interact with banks, and the way that banks see their role in the economy and the community? What do the next 12-18 months look like for the sector?

CEDA is delighted to welcome Commonwealth Bank CEO and Australian Banking Association (ABA) Chair, Matt Comyn, and ABA CEO, the Hon. Anna Bligh AC, to the stage for CEDA’s Annual Dinner, to participate in a wide-ranging discussion on the role and future of our banks, including:
  • the opportunities from technology;
  • a holistic view to customer-centricity;
  • the criticality of ESG for consumers and shareholders; and
  • banking’s view of the outlook for the Australian economy.
