Graham Fletcher, Australia's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China

Event Overview

Australia’s relations with China are amongst our most important foreign policy issues. However, in the wake of COVID-19 Australia’s relationship with China has sustained multiple blows, with new and proposed tariffs levelled against Australian products, and negotiations to allow Australian journalists to leave the country, the ongoing relationship his fractious.
Australia’s Ambassador to China, Graham Fletcher, has been in this post for just over 12 months, and has served in the Embassy on three separate occasions and led the team which completed negotiation of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement in 2014.
He is perfectly placed to give a holistic view of the Australia-China relationship and the factors impacting on Australian business with China both now and into the future.

This briefing is by invitation only to CEDA Trustees. Trustees are senior leaders nominated by CEDA member organisations. At CEDA boardroom briefings Trustees hear from an informed, expert guest speaker in a private, small group setting. Invitations to boardroom briefings are a valued benefit of CEDA membership. Chatham House Rule applies.
