The World Competitiveness Yearbook is produced by the IMD World Competitiveness Centre, one of the world's top business schools, with the help of international partners.

CEDA coordinates Australia's contribution to the World Competitiveness Yearbook, with CEDA's 680 member organisations contributing to the survey.

The yearbook provides international rankings on 63 countries and their ability to sustain competitive businesses. Its rankings and detailed country-by-country data are used by businesses and governments around the world to attract business investment.

World Competitiveness Yearbook 2020 results 

Australia has remained stagnant at 18 in global competitiveness rankings released today, highlighting a weakening economy pre-COVID and a need to focus on improvements in key areas such as tax, skills, digital transformation and energy infrastructure.

World Competitiveness Digital Rankings 2020 results 

Australia has fallen for the second year in a row in an important global ranking of the digital competitiveness of 63 nations for 2020. Australia slipped one place to 15 in the IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking (WDCR), with its key weaknesses remaining communications technology and business agility.
