In 2018 CEDA released the results of its first nation-wide poll on community attitudes to growth. This survey identified key issues to the community both personally and nationally, and explored if the community felt they had benefitted from Australia's record 27 years of economic growth. This survey will be conducted bi-annually.

In 2019 CEDA released the results of its first nationwide poll of Australian business, to better understand community expectations of business; and the challenges facing business leaders. CEDA’s inaugural
Company Pulse is a nationwide survey of the general public and business leaders that includes more than 3000 people. This survey will be conducted bi-annually.
CEDA is the Australian partner for the Switzerland-based IMD World Competitiveness Center’s annual World Competitiveness Yearbook. Released annually in May, it compares and ranks 63 countries on business competitiveness criteria. Read the 2020 results.
In 2013, CEDA surveyed the business community, primarily its members and past Women in Leadership event attendees, to help identify barriers to equality of opportunity. Read the results.
The Big Issues survey asked CEDA members and the business community to identify the main challenges facing Australian business and governments. The results played an important role in developing CEDA's research and policy agenda. The Big Issues survey has now been replaced by CEDA's Community pulse survey.
